Quinn Miami was everywhere at Art Basel.  Here are a few of our events (phew!):

The VIP, invitation-only unveiling of the Koons sculptures and the opening of Oceana Bal Harbour with Jeff Koons and mogul-developer and art-collector Eduardo Costantini was the hottest ticket at Art Basel this year, with people calling and pleading for invitations.  A fairytale gala, Jeff Koons, one of the biggest stars in the world, graciously posed for photos and selfies against the majestic backdrop of Ballerina, Oceana Bal Harbour and the Atlantic Ocean. He noted that while his pieces have been in museums, this setting that Eduardo built by the sea was best of all.

The Wallpaper exhibit at W South Beach and accompanying invitation-only dinner at MR CHOW was where the design elite hung out.

The Solesdi two-story showroom in the Design District was hopping with party goers rubbing elbows with famed architects and interior designers George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg.

Lionheart Capital, the developers of The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach, lit up the Miami sky with a rainbow light show by artist Yvette Mattern on multiple nights. In the morning they held an intimate breakfast for media to meet Italian master architect Piero Lissoni and tour the first of a collection of waterfront villas he designed.

While not an event per se, it was a movie-ready scene at MR CHOW at midnight.  It was the restaurant equivalent of Studio 54 with beautiful people trying to get in while waiters dressed in all-white, Casablanca-style outfits and caps whizzed about serving a packed room of international midnight diners.
