Assistant account executive - New york & Los angeles

Responsibilities:

 

Manage daily activities on accounts

Serve as day-to-day contact for media and clients

Write press releases, media alerts, photo captions, media pitches, biographies, newsletters, etc.

Secure consistent and quality media placements with active pitching

Develop and maintain solid media relationships with journalists, bloggers and social media influencers, especially in the travel, lifestyle and food & wine realms

Maintain client relations through meetings, conference calls, events, general contact

Prepare meeting agendas, notes, reports, etc.

When needed, organize and attend events

Assist with developing strategic and creative PR initiatives

Monitor and engage on behalf of clients in digital media space as appropriate

Perform in-depth research and analysis of clients (audits)

Assist with developing strategic and creative integrated PR initiatives

Stay up to speed on current industry news, trends and technology

Requirements:

 

BA or BS in related field

Minimum one year related experience in travel and lifestyle PR

Familiarity with food and wine clients a plus

Event management experience a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in AP style

Proficiency using Cision/Cisionpoint, news wires, MS applications

Working knowledge of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and ability to assist clients with developing strategies on these platforms

Familiarity with industry-appropriate bloggers and social media influencers

Responsibilities:

Responsible for client satisfaction and strategic results 

Oversee the management of daily activities on accounts, taking the lead, as well as troubleshooting for others with minimal supervision

Requirements:

 

Undergraduate degree in related field

Three or more years work experience in travel, F&B and/or lifestyle PR

Proven ability to adapt to fast-paced, multi-tasking, unique work environment

Proven ability to resolve client issues quickly and efficiently

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Solid portfolio of secured media coverage including newspaper, magazine, broadcast, and online coverage  

Comprehensive knowledge of the media, including industry-appropriate bloggers and influencers

Comprehensive knowledge of the PR industry

Working knowledge of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, etc.)

Online community management experience (Facebook page or group administrator, forum administrator, etc.) a plus

Knowledge of Web design, search engine optimization, and basic HTML are a plus

Fluency in Spanish a plus

Proven experience implementing PR campaigns and handling crisis using social networks a plus

Administrative Assistant - new york

Responsibilities:

 

Communication with Ignite regarding scheduling trainings and coaching calls

Updates and maintains the business contact manager database (BCM)

Quarterly distribution of BCM categories to leadership and makes edits

Welcome visitors, asks/makes beverages for guests and escorts them to conference room/lounge area

Answers the telephone and transfers calls to the appropriate staff when calls come through the main number

Receive, sort and distribute mail daily

Train interns on answering company calls

Create agenda and take notes at quarterly company meetings and A-Team monthly meetings

Order and stock office, bathroom and kitchen supplies 

Maintain Quinn office space, shelves, closets, etc.

Post information regarding building/office on wiki –fire drills, maintenance, etc.

Assist the staff with setting up for client meeting with 24 hours notice

Maintains kitchen area including running dishwasher, clearing out the sink, cleaning out the refrigerator monthly and trash disposal to the freight area (T & Th)

Handle communication with building super on all requests

Support the COO & President as needed        

Calendar – scheduling, rescheduling, etc. coordinate declines and responses to invites

Review all mail

Scan and email documents upon request

Handle updates to computer and cell phone and communicate issues to CMIT

Assist with any personal administrative tasks

Coordinate reservations, car service, meeting arrangements etc.

Type up documents and presentations, bind presentations as needed

Handle inbox, outbox and filing

Additional projects as assigned

Prior experience as a receptionist/administrative assistant

Team player

Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines and have a sense of urgency when necessary
