Vice President - Miami

 

A great opportunity to join the Miami team of a creative, $9-million Travel, Real Estate, F&B and Luxury Lifestyle PR firm.  The ideal candidate is smart, innovative, strategic and personable, able to win business and win over clients.  You are also a leader and team player, able to manage, coach and inspire a team of 6+ in Travel, F&B and Luxury Lifestyle, while working with your 11+ other Miami colleagues, who also handle RE work.  You will be a leader of our Wynwood-Miami storefront office and of the overall agency, working with the owner and Miami/NY/LA leadership teams.  Our culture is entrepreneurial, collaborative, be-who-you-are, forward-thinking and passionate about PR. 

The ideal candidate has management experience, exceptional client- and media-relations experience, excellent writing and communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry.  It is a senior-level position for those with at least 8 years of PR-agency or in-house-communications experience.

Responsibilities:

Oversee account work of a team of 6+ in media results, partnerships, Influencer work, creative initiatives, events, awards, client speaking engagements, etc.

Edit and sign off on press materials, pitches, plans, timelines, decks and reports; write strategic and creative plans as needed

Provide training, coaching, mentoring, as well as inspiration and support

Drive and secure top results; be results oriented

Establish and strengthen relations with top-tier media and editorial decision makers

Oversee client meetings, providing big-picture, creative and strategic thinking

Establish strong professional relationships with clients

Handle crisis communications with guidance from senior leadership

Have a solid understanding of social media, so you can speak to it.  (Social media work is handled by others.)

Drive new business by networking and helping to win new business; write proposals and presentations

Become a valued industry and PR expert who will reinforce the agency’s capabilities and offerings

Stay on top of current news and trends

Work closely with owner and senior leaders in Miami and across all offices

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree

8 years of PR experience, some of which is in travel/lifestyle PR

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

3 years of management experience

Comprehensive knowledge of the travel media and industry

Working knowledge of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.)

Fluency in Spanish is a plus

Director of Social Media, Content Creation and Digital - NY

Responsibilities:

Drive new business by networking and helping to win new business

Write proposals, campaign ideas, presentations and budgets

Oversee and elevate the social-media work of a small team, writing strategy and creative decks and timelines, editing and signing off on calendars and posts, Influencer work and reports

Provide training, coaching, mentoring, as well as inspiration and support

Oversee client meetings, providing big-picture, creative and strategic thinking

Manage work and results for budgets that conform to our industries

Recommend and execute paid social-media work

Establish strong professional relationships with clients

Source and manage photographers, videographers, freelancers, directors and designers and as needed

Integrate social-media work with the firm’s other work, as well as the clients’ paid-digital and SEO arms, to help produce maximum impact, results, engagement, traffic and ROI

Requirements:

6 years of social-media, content-creation and digital experience

Knowledge of at least one of the areas of travel, real-estate and F&B industries; willingness to learn the others

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Excellent visual eye

3 years of management experience

Proficient in Hootsuite, Onlypult and Meltwater social listening/content management tools or the equivalent

Knowledge of the latest in social-media, content-creation and digital marketing practices

Account Executive - NY & Miami

 

Responsibilities:

 

Manage daily activities on accounts

Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for media and clients

Write press releases, media alerts, photo captions, media pitches, biographies, newsletters, etc.

Secure consistent and quality media placements with active pitching

Develop and maintain solid media relationships with journalists, bloggers and social media influencers, especially in the real estate and lifestyle realm

Maintain client relations through meetings, conference calls, events, general contact

Display clear understanding of client expectations and goals

Prepare and present meeting agendas, notes, reports, etc.

When needed, assist with organizing and attending events

Monitor and engage on behalf of clients in digital media space as appropriate

Perform in-depth research and analysis of clients (audits)

Recognize and call attention to potential client opportunities for improvement

Assist with developing strategic and creative integrated PR initiatives

Stay up to speed on current industry news, trends and technology

Requirements:

 

BA or BS in related field

Minimum two-years of experience at a public relations/communication agency

Related experience in real estate, hospitality or architecture/design is a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in AP style

Familiarity with lifestyle clients is a plus

Online community management experience (Facebook page or group administrator, forum administrator, etc.) a plus

Knowledge of web design, search engine optimization, and basic HTML are a plus

Assistant Account Executive - NY & Miami

Account Supervisor - NY

 

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic direction to clients and team

Responsible for client satisfaction

Maintain client relationships through meetings, conference calls, general contact, meeting agendas, notes, reports, etc.

Oversee account work of two people, providing training, coaching, editing, mentoring and overall sound leadership

Provide strategic, strong and consistent media results and measurement

Identify stories and pitches; edit and write press releases, media alerts, photo captions, media pitches, etc.

Develop and maintain solid relationships with journalists, bloggers and influencers

Provide ideation and campaigns; participate in brainstorms

Recommend and implement strategic events and partnerships

Provide social media strategy, advice, research, campaign ideas and provide and/or supervise communications management

Recognize and bring client issues to supervisor’s attention with a suggested solution

Assist with crisis communications as needed

Handle minor client issues independently 

Perform research and analysis of clients and the marketplace

Stay on top of current industry news, trends and technology; attend events; network

Requirements:
