Account Executive - NY

 

Responsibilities:

Manage daily activities on accounts

Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for media and clients

Write press releases, media alerts, photo captions, media pitches, biographies, newsletters, etc.

Secure consistent and quality media placements with active pitching

Develop and maintain solid media relationships with journalists, bloggers and social media influencers, especially in the real estate and lifestyle realm

Maintain client relations through meetings, conference calls, events, general contact

Display clear understanding of client expectations and goals

Prepare and present meeting agendas, notes, reports, etc.

When needed, assist with organizing and attending events

Monitor and engage on behalf of clients in digital media space as appropriate

Perform in-depth research and analysis of clients (audits)

Recognize and call attention to potential client opportunities for improvement

Assist with developing strategic and creative integrated PR initiatives

Stay up to speed on current industry news, trends and technology

Requirements:

BA or BS in related field

Minimum two-year related experience in real estate, hospitality or architecture/design

Familiarity with lifestyle clients is a plus

Agency experience is a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in AP style

Online community management experience (Facebook page or group administrator, forum administrator, etc.) a plus

Knowledge of web design, search engine optimization, and basic HTML are a plus

Proficiency using Cision/Cisionpoint, Lexis Nexis, news wires, MS applications

Working knowledge of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and ability to assist clients with developing strategies on these platforms

Familiarity with industry-appropriate bloggers and social media influencers

Senior Account Executive - FL

 

Responsibilities:

Responsible for client satisfaction and strategic results 

Maintain client relationships through meetings, conference calls, general contact

Oversee the management of daily activities on accounts, taking the lead, as well as troubleshooting for others with minimal supervision

Write media pitches, press releases, media alerts, photo captions, etc.

Develop and maintain solid relationships with journalists, bloggers and influencers

Prepare meeting agendas, notes, reports, etc.

Organize and attend events, including press trips and media tours

Monitor, engage, assist in providing strategic counsel and brainstorm innovative campaigns on behalf of clients in the digital media space

Recognize if there is a potential client problem and bring it to supervisor’s attention with a suggested solution 

Perform in-depth research and analysis of clients

Assist with developing strategic and creative integrated PR initiatives

Stay on top of current industry news, trends and technology

Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in related field

Three or more years work experience in travel, F&B, entertainment and/or lifestyle PR

Ability to adapt to fast-paced, multi-tasking, unique work environment

Proven ability to resolve client issues quickly and efficiently

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Solid portfolio of secured national media coverage including newspaper, magazine, broadcast, and online coverage  

Comprehensive knowledge of the media, including industry-appropriate bloggers and influencers

Comprehensive knowledge of the PR industry

Working knowledge of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.

Online community management experience (Facebook page or group administrator, forum administrator, etc.) a plus

Knowledge of Web design, search engine optimization, and basic HTML are a plus

Proven experience implementing PR campaigns and handling crisis using social networks a plus
